RON FOUGERE, NLAA, MRAIC
Ron began his professional career with the firm of William MacCallum Architect Limited in 1983. In 1988 Ron worked with Beaton Sheppard Associates Limited, where he became a partner. In 1997 Ron formed Ron Fougere Associated Ltd., (RFA) and in 2006 became a principal in Hearn Fougere Associates Inc. Ron’s early experience is wide ranging from heritage restoration projects for the Moravian Mission buildings in remote Labrador communities, to large state-of-the-art recreation projects such as the Mile One Stadium.
Ron took on Rob Menchenton as a partner in 2013 when they formed Fougere Menchenton Architecture Inc. (FMA) Since that time, the firm has continued the type of work which the firm started on. More recent projects consistent with early experience are the Wedgewood Park Aquatic Centre, currently under construction or the St. John’s Long Term Care Facility, completed 2014. For the 32 years Ron has been practicing, he continues to value client experience as a top priority. Ron believes in attending design and co-ordination meetings personally, so his clients receive a continuous, consistent and uninterrupted level of service.
